Meet The Team
Buddy Love for Pets was founded in late 2017 by Sam Hattrill, with Sophie King coming on as a walker and later a Partner in 2021. We have since seen our wonderful founder move on to a new job, but Buddy Love has continued to grow into a family of 8 staff, over 90 dogs, and all of their amazing humans (some of whom are photographed above at one of our Big Client Walks).
Sophie now has a great team of ladies working along side her and couldn't be more proud to introduce them to you:
Our wonderful Emma has been with us since we opened our daycare centre in 2021 and is one of our walkers as well as working as a daycare assistant, alongside the lovely Daisy who between them keep our centre running and all of our daycare dogs entertained.
We also have the amazing Vicky who not only has a degree in Animal Management but is also stepping up our photography game with some truly amazing pet portraits. As we continued to grow, we started looking to hire again and found the perfect walker in one of our very own clients, Trace. With one calm and collected Cockapoo and one lively puppy Viszla, we knew she would be fantastic with any dog we could throw at her and they have all been loving her walkies since January 2024.
After years of being dragged along on walks by Sophie any time she needed a spare pair of hands, her partner Scott is now officially employed by us as a walker since February. His calming energy in daycare means even the craziest playful pups are dozing on the sofa when the rest of the team get back from our afternoon walks. We still have no idea how he manages it!
Most recently, we have hired Addy and Jada in May and they have both been settling in beautifully, smashing through their training and getting to know all of our dogs. With their help we have been able to open our books back up after months of them being closed and we can't wait to bring in more doggie friends for them to meet and fall in love with too.
